Madera Ranchos is an unincorporated community in Madera County northeast of the city of Madera, in the foothill zone between the San Joaquin Valley and the Sierra Nevada. The community sits at a somewhat higher elevation than the valley floor, where flat agricultural land gives way to the first low ridges of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Madera County's foothill areas attract residents seeking a rural setting within driving distance of Fresno and Madera's commercial centers.
