Golf in Moffett Field

Moffett Field is a federal airfield in Santa Clara County shared by NASA Ames Research Center and Lockheed Martin Space, adjacent to the southern edge of San Francisco Bay. The facility includes extensive research and administrative facilities for NASA Ames, which conducts aeronautics and space research at the site. The large hangars at Moffett, including the massive Hangar One, are landmark structures on the bay plain. A golf facility on the grounds serves government and military personnel at the base. The surrounding area along the bay includes Shoreline Regional Park and the Palo Alto Baylands, providing open space and wildlife habitat on former tidal mudflats.
