Golf in Orcutt

Orcutt is an unincorporated community in Santa Barbara County in the Santa Maria Valley, south of Santa Maria along State Route 135. The community occupies flat to gently sloping terrain in the agricultural valley, where wine grapes, vegetables, and strawberries are grown in significant quantities. Santa Barbara County's Santa Maria Valley is a recognized wine region, with the valley's cool climate and long growing season contributing to its wine production. Orcutt is primarily residential, functioning as a southern suburb of Santa Maria, with residents using the city for most commercial and employment needs. The community has a modest commercial area and is connected to Santa Maria via State Route 135. Union Valley Parkway and other roads connect the community to the regional road network. The surrounding terrain is agricultural and suburban, with the Santa Ynez Mountains to the south across the valley.
