Golf in Pine Mountain Lake

Pine Mountain Lake is a residential community in Tuolumne County in the Sierra Nevada foothills, in the western approach to the Yosemite region. The community occupies forested foothill terrain at roughly 2,800 feet elevation, east of the Central Valley and west of the higher Sierra elevations. Tuolumne County spans from the Central Valley foothills to the Sierra crest, and Pine Mountain Lake sits in the lower western portion of the county. The community is primarily a planned residential development centered on a private lake and community amenities, drawing residents who value the foothill setting and access to the Yosemite corridor. State Route 120 connects the area to Groveland to the east and toward the Central Valley at Manteca to the west. The surrounding forested terrain transitions from oak and foothill pine at lower elevations to mixed conifer at higher reaches. The area provides an accessible base for visiting the western approach to Yosemite National Park.
