Golf in Cheshire

Cheshire is a Berkshire County town in the Hoosic River valley between Adams and Lanesborough, in the northern Berkshires where the valley terrain is flanked by the Greylock massif to the west and the Hoosac Range to the east. Wahconah Golf & Country Club serves this community in the river valley bottom, in a part of the Berkshires where the industrial mill heritage of Adams and North Adams gives way to the more agricultural character of the northern valley. The surrounding mountain terrain — including the state's highest point at Mount Greylock — gives courses in this corridor a mountain-framed setting that distinguishes northern Berkshire County golf from the resort-oriented southern tier.
