Golf in Del Dios

Del Dios is a small community in San Diego County in the inland area east of Encinitas, along the east shore of Lake Hodges. The community occupies hillside terrain in the coastal mountains of northern San Diego County, adjacent to the large reservoir that provides water storage for the San Diego region. San Diego County's inland communities in the Lake Hodges area are in a zone of residential and open space uses in the county's coastal mountains. Del Dios Highway runs along the lake, connecting the community to Escondido to the north and to the coast to the south. Lake Hodges Reservoir and adjacent open space provide recreation access. The community is small and primarily residential in character.
