The Vineyard at Escondido Golf Course

The Vineyard at Escondido Golf Course sits in the Del Dios area near Escondido in San Diego County, in the wine country terrain around Lake Hodges. Del Dios is a small rural community in the hills between Escondido and the Rancho Santa Fe area, in the corridor where the San Dieguito River drainage forms Lake Hodges behind the Del Dios Dam. The Escondido wine country has grown in recognition, with vineyards in the inland hills of northern San Diego County producing Mediterranean grape varietals in the dry chaparral terrain.
