East Griffin is an unincorporated community adjacent to Griffin in Spalding County in middle Georgia. Griffin is the county seat and commercial center of Spalding County, a mid-sized city historically important as a textile manufacturing center in the Georgia Piedmont. Spalding County sits between the outer southern Atlanta metro and the more rural central Georgia landscape, and Griffin has worked to sustain its economy through the transition from manufacturing toward healthcare and services.
