The longest golf course on record in every US state

The longest golf course on record in each of the 50 US states, ranked by that leader's total yardage — from 8,102 yards at Pete Dye Course in West Baden Springs (Indiana) down to 6,585 yards in Alaska. Every state's leader is the #1 on its own longest list, drawn only from courses with a reliable published yardage that clears our plausibility checks — so every row also prints how much of its state that is. In 15 of the 50, fewer than a third of the state's courses carry a published yardage, and those states publish no longest ranking of their own: their row here is the longest of what we have measured, which need not be the longest in the state. 35 of the 50 do have a full longest ranking; the rest link through to their state directory. Washington, D.C. is not a state, so it is not ranked here — though its courses are in the directory.
