354th Force Support Squadron

The 354th Force Support Squadron golf facility at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks North Star Borough serves the military personnel of one of Alaska's most strategically significant air installations, providing recreational golf in Interior Alaska's extreme continental climate. Golf at this latitude and in this climate is a fundamentally different exercise than in the lower forty-eight—the season is short, the midnight sun extends playing hours in June and July, and the landscape reflects the boreal forest character of the Tanana River valley where the base is situated.
