Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort in West Baden Springs, Orange County, is one of the most ambitious resort golf projects in the Midwest. Pete Dye — the Indiana native whose influence on American golf architecture rivals Donald Ross's — designed the course to take full advantage of the wooded ravines and dramatic elevation changes of the Orange County hill country. The course plays alongside Donald Ross's Valley Links as part of the French Lick Resort complex, which was restored from its gilded-age mineral springs origins into a world-class destination. The Pete Dye Course's routing through the rugged terrain above the historic West Baden Springs Hotel produces a design that is at once authentically Hoosier and internationally competitive.
