Golf in Choccolocco

Choccolocco is a rural community in Calhoun and Cleburne counties of northeast Alabama, an unincorporated area in the forested piedmont landscape at the foot of the Talladega Mountains where the natural character of the lower Appalachian foothills creates the conditions for golf in a setting defined by wooded ridgelines and creek drainages. The Choccolocco area participates in the Anniston-Oxford recreational market while maintaining its own rural character in the landscape that transitions between the valley communities of the Coosa River drainage and the upland terrain of the Talladega National Forest.
