Golf in Crestone

Crestone is an unincorporated Saguache County community at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the San Luis Valley, one of the most spiritually diverse and intentionally alternative communities in the United States. Home to multiple spiritual traditions—Buddhist, Hindu, Sufi, Carmelite, and others—Crestone and the surrounding Baca Grande subdivision represent a deliberate experiment in intentional community living. Baca Grande Golf Club provides this unusual community with golf access in what is arguably the most dramatically situated course setting in Colorado, with Crestone Needle and Kit Carson Peak rising directly behind the course.
