Golf in Haines City

Haines City is a small city in Polk County in the central Florida lake country, in the ridge zone between the Tampa metro and the Orlando corridor. Two resort courses serve the area — Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort East Course and Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort South Course — in a part of the county where the lake-and-ridge terrain supports the resort and residential golf market. The Lake Wales Ridge gives this part of Polk County more topographic interest than the flat coastal lowlands, and the lake network that defines the area has sustained both resort development and permanent residential growth over many decades.
