Homestead is a city in southern Miami-Dade County, at the agricultural and natural edge of the Florida peninsula where the Redland farming district meets the Everglades National Park. Two courses serve the city — Keys Gate Golf Course and Redland Golf & Country Club — in a part of the county far removed from the coastal resort strip, serving a mixed residential and agricultural community at the southern terminus of the Florida highway system. No hole-count data is in public records for either course. The proximity to Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, and the Homestead Speedway give the city a character defined by the convergence of nature, agriculture, and motorsports at the southern tip of the Florida peninsula.
