Golf in Kalāheo

Kalaheo is a hilltop community on the south shore of Kauai, positioned above Hanapepe Valley with sweeping views of the southern coastline and the Pacific, where Kukuiolono Park and its historic nine-hole golf course have provided recreational access to the local community for generations. The park's origins as a donation by the McBryde sugar family to the public reflect the paternalistic but genuine community contributions of the plantation era, and the course's accessibility to local residents at minimal cost has given it a different character from the resort golf infrastructure that defines much of the Kauai golf market.
