Golf in Kapolei

Kapolei is the planned second city of Oahu, a master-planned urban center in the western part of the island that has grown from a concept in the 1980s into a substantial city of more than a hundred thousand residents with its own commercial centers, schools, and recreational infrastructure. The development of Kapolei was driven by the need to relieve the growth pressure on metropolitan Honolulu and provide residential alternatives in the western part of the island, and the Kapolei Golf Course serves the recreational needs of the rapidly growing community. The broader Ko Olina and Ewa Plain corridor gives Kapolei a western Oahu identity anchored by the Disney Aulani Resort, the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus, and the growing commercial district of the island's second city.
