Golf in Chillicothe

Chillicothe is a Peoria County community perched above the Illinois River on bluffs that provide views across the valley toward the Peoria skyline to the south. The city's river-bluff setting distinguishes it from the flat prairie that dominates much of the surrounding county, and Arrowhead Country Club takes advantage of that topographic variation. Chillicothe has grown steadily as a Peoria suburb while retaining an identity rooted in river culture and the blue-collar manufacturing heritage of this stretch of the Illinois River valley.
