Golf in Richmond

Richmond is the Wayne County seat and one of eastern Indiana's most historically significant cities, anchored to the National Road — US-40 — that served as the primary overland route from the eastern seaboard into the midwest during the nineteenth century. The city sits against the Ohio state line, and its border position gave it early commercial importance as a gateway community. Earlham College, founded by Quaker settlers, lends Richmond an academic and cultural thread distinct from the typical Indiana county-seat profile. The city once housed a substantial piano manufacturing industry. Wayne County's terrain reflects the eastern Indiana till plain, with modest topographic variation.
