Golf in Junction City

Junction City, the Geary County seat, takes its name from the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers immediately adjacent to the city — a geographic fact that gave the location strategic importance from the earliest days of European settlement. Fort Riley's massive Army installation lies directly west, and the post's economic relationship with Junction City has defined the community for over 150 years.
