Golf in Mission Hills

Mission Hills is one of the Kansas City area's most storied communities, a Johnson County enclave on the Missouri state line developed by J.C. Nichols beginning in the 1910s as a planned residential community of exceptional quality. The city's fewer than 3,500 residents inhabit what is consistently one of the wealthiest communities in the United States, a neighborhood of wooded estates, ravine-cut terrain, and an intensely private character. Three clubs — Indian Hills, Mission Hills Country Club, and The Kansas City Country Club — serve this community, with the KCCC among the most historically significant private clubs in the Midwest, host to USGA events and keeper of Kansas City golf's oldest traditions.
