Golf in Denham Springs

Livingston Parish has undergone dramatic population growth as Baton Rouge's suburbs have expanded eastward across the Amite River, and Denham Springs sits at the center of that expansion. Once a spring-fed resort town that drew visitors for the mineral waters, it has become a commercial and residential hub for the parish. The Pines at North Park brings the parish's name literally to life — pine upland covers much of Livingston, giving the terrain better drainage and some topographic relief compared to the Baton Rouge side of the Amite. The 2016 flooding event that devastated Livingston Parish reshaped the community's relationship with water and infrastructure, with recovery still visible in places.
