Golf in Destrehan

St. Charles Parish runs along the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, its landscape defined by the natural levees that border the river and the cypress swamps that stretch behind them into the Atchafalaya Basin. Destrehan is named for the antebellum plantation at its center, one of the oldest intact plantation houses in the Mississippi Valley.
