Golf in Canton

Canton is a Norfolk County suburb at the base of the Blue Hills Reservation, where the granite ridgeline creates the most dramatic topography in the Greater Boston south suburban ring. Five clubs serve the area — Blue Hill Country Club, Brookmeadow Country Club, Milton-Hoosic Club, Ponkapoag Golf Course, and Wampatuck Country Club — one of the largest concentrations of golf in a single Massachusetts community. The Blue Hills' open land and Canton's position at the Route 128 and I-95 interchange have combined to sustain remarkable golf density in a community where the geology and conservation land have preserved terrain that most suburban communities have long since lost.
