Golf in Winchester

Winchester is a Middlesex County inner suburb north of Boston on the Aberjona River, one of Greater Boston's most consistently affluent residential communities. Two clubs serve the community — Winchester Country Club and Woburn Country Club — in terrain shaped by the Mystic Lakes and the wooded upland above the river corridor. The combination of the lakes, the preserved open space of the Aberjona watershed, and the town's active conservation efforts have maintained an open character in Winchester that most inner suburbs at this distance from Boston have long since lost.
