Golf in Dover-Foxcroft

Dover-Foxcroft is the shire town of Piscataquis County, which is both the second-largest county in the eastern United States by area and one of the least densely populated. The county stretches from Moosehead Lake in the northwest to the edge of Washington County in the east — a vast landscape of remote lakes, rivers, and boreal forest. Dover-Foxcroft serves as the administrative and commercial center for this wilderness county. The Piscataquis River runs through town, and Sebec Lake lies just to the east. Foxcroft Golf Club's nine holes provide recreational golf in the county seat of Maine's most remote landscape.
