Golf in Bemidji

Bemidji calls itself the First City on the Mississippi — the river flows from Lake Bemidji here, still young and manageable before its southward journey. The city has four golf courses, reflecting its role as the commercial and cultural hub of Beltrami County and the surrounding lake country. Bemidji State University, the city's Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues, and the dense network of lakes surrounding the city make it a year-round recreational destination in northern Minnesota. The golf season runs roughly May through October, but golfers who time their visit well find a setting of genuine north-country beauty.
