Golf in Glasgow

Glasgow is the Valley County seat on the Milk River near the Fort Peck Reservoir, a Hi-Line community built on wheat farming, ranching, and the massive dam-construction project that employed thousands of workers in the 1930s. Sunnyside Country Club serves this isolated community with a course that is, for many Valley County residents, the primary recreational golf option within a reasonable drive. The surrounding landscape is pure northern plains — horizontal, enormous, and genuinely beautiful in its particular terms. Fort Peck's enormous impoundment is visible on the drive from Glasgow, and the reservoir's fishing and recreation draw seasonal visitors who extend the local economy.
