Golf in Stevensville

Stevensville is the Bitterroot Valley's oldest community, where St. Mary's Mission established Montana's first permanent settlement in 1841 and the Fort Owen trading post followed soon after. Ravalli County's valley has grown through rapid in-migration, but Stevensville has retained much of its historic character — the mission, the Victorian-era buildings, the agricultural landscapes that predate the more recent residential development. Stevensville Golf Course serves a community that takes its historical continuity seriously and extends that same care to its recreational institutions. The Bitterroot Mountains to the west and the Sapphire Range to the east frame the course in the same valley geography that shaped the settlement's original founders.
