Golf in Armstrongs Mills

Armstrongs Mills is a Belmont County community in the Appalachian foothill country of eastern Ohio, where the small settlement occupies a position in the hill country drainage system that historically supported the extractive industries—coal, clay, and natural gas—that defined the eastern Ohio economy. The mills name preserves the memory of the water-powered industry that processed grain and lumber along the region's streams in the early settlement era, before industrial mining and manufacturing replaced small-scale resource processing as the county's economic foundation.
