Golf in Magnetic Springs

Magnetic Springs is a Union County village whose remarkable name derives from the mineral springs that once attracted health-seekers to a community that briefly flourished as a late-nineteenth-century resort destination. The alleged magnetic properties of the local springs created both the unusual place name and the short-lived resort economy that established the community before the automobile era opened more distant destinations. Today's Union County is defined far more by Honda's manufacturing presence than by the historic spring resort, and Blues Creek Golf Club serves the changed community.
