Golf in Lakeview

Lakeview is the seat of Lake County in south-central Oregon, a high desert community at 4,800 feet elevation that is among the highest incorporated cities in the Pacific Northwest. Lake County is vast — nearly as large as Connecticut — and almost entirely unpopulated outside Lakeview itself. The surrounding landscape of playa lakes, volcanic ridges, and the Fremont-Winema National Forest defines the basin's character. Lakeview is genuinely remote: 100 miles from Klamath Falls and 170 miles from Bend. Golf here serves a small but geographically isolated community for whom the local course provides recreational continuity in a landscape defined by distance and elevation.
