Golf in Lyons

Lyons is a small Linn County community along the North Santiam River east of Salem, where the river descends from the Cascades through a forested canyon before broadening into the valley floor. The North Santiam corridor is a significant recreation route — Detroit Lake and the Cascades Recreation Area draw summer visitors up the highway from the valley — and communities like Lyons exist at the transition between the agricultural valley and the mountain landscape beyond.
