Golf in Maywood Park

Maywood Park is a small incorporated city entirely surrounded by Portland in Multnomah County, one of the nation's few cities fully enclosed within another city's limits. The community occupies a residential neighborhood along the Columbia Gorge corridor near I-205, and its independent incorporation reflects a mid-century effort to preserve local zoning control. Despite its small size, Maywood Park's Multnomah County location places it within reach of the east metro's full golf infrastructure, including the courses along the Sandy and Columbia corridors east of Portland. Portland's east side grid surrounds the community entirely, yet Maywood Park maintains its own governance and a park-centered identity that suits its name. Two of the Portland metro's most established recreational golf facilities — Glendoveer and Rose City — operate within its boundaries.
