Broomall is a Delaware County community in Marple Township, positioned in the wedge of inner suburbs between the Main Line and the Philadelphia International Airport corridor. This corner of Delaware County developed heavily in the 1950s and 1960s, and Broomall retains the character of that era — solid middle-class housing on modest lots, commercial strips along the main roads, and the established residential density that keeps demand for local recreational facilities steady. The Springfield-Broomall axis connects to the Main Line townships to the north and the Route 1 Media corridor to the south, placing Broomall within one of the Philadelphia region's most established suburban zones.
