Golf in Everett

Everett is the largest community in Bedford County, a borough on the Lincoln Highway where the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River begins its westward run toward the Juniata's main channel. Bedford County's geography is quintessential Ridge and Valley Pennsylvania — alternating forested ridges and narrow valleys with the Allegheny Front forming the western wall. The county seat of Bedford lies just south, with its mineral springs resort history and the Fort Bedford fortification that anchored the colonial frontier. Lincoln Highway passes through Everett because the road followed the old Forbes Road military route across the Alleghenies, tying the community to a transit heritage older than the automobile era.
