Travelers Rest is a small city in Greenville County, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge in the northern SC Upstate, at the northern terminus of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a popular paved greenway connecting downtown Greenville north to the mountain foothills. Travelers Rest has grown as a gateway community to the SC Blue Ridge foothills and is part of the northern Greenville County suburban-rural fringe. The city's three golf courses serve the Travelers Rest community and the northern Greenville County foothills corridor.
