Golf in Counce

Counce is a small Hardin County community on the eastern shore of Pickwick Lake, the southernmost TVA reservoir on the Tennessee River and one of the most popular recreational lakes in the mid-South. Pickwick Landing State Park, adjacent to the lake dam, anchors a year-round outdoor recreation economy in a county better known to history as the site of the Battle of Shiloh upstream. The lake's warm-water fishing, boating, and camping attract visitors from Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama, and the resort economy here has a multi-state regional character unusual for a Tennessee community of this size.
