Golf in Aberdeen
1 golf course in Aberdeen, Washington.
Aberdeen is the Grays Harbor County seat on the Pacific Coast's timber and fishing economy, best known as the birthplace of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The city's position at the confluence of the Chehalis and Wishkah rivers and the adjacent Hoquiam's industrial waterfront define a southwestern Washington community that was one of the most prosperous lumber ports in the world during the early twentieth century. The harbor's decline transformed Aberdeen into a community working to reinvent itself, and the recreational golf course provides an outlet for the diverse working community that characterizes the southwestern Washington coast. The Olympic Mountains are visible to the north and the Coast Range surrounds the Grays Harbor basin.
