Golf in Cable

Cable is a small unincorporated community in Bayfield County, set deep in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest of far northern Wisconsin. Famous as the start of the American Birkebeiner cross-country ski race, the largest such event in North America, Cable sits amid the forests, lakes, and hills of the Northwoods near the Lake Superior region. The surrounding landscape draws skiers, mountain bikers, and anglers through the seasons, with the dense timber and clear lakes defining the area. Cable keeps a remote, deeply forested character.
