Del Rio Country Club sits in Brawley, a city in Imperial County in the Imperial Valley below sea level in the Sonoran Desert. Brawley is positioned south of the Salton Sea in the lower Imperial Valley, where the below-sea-level terrain and the hot desert climate create conditions similar to adjacent Baja California. The city has a significant agricultural economy anchored by cattle feedlots, winter vegetables, and sugarbeet production. Brawley sits roughly 12 feet below sea level and experiences some of the highest summer temperatures recorded in the United States.
