Diamond Bar Golf Course sits in Diamond Bar, a residential city in the eastern San Gabriel Valley at the junction of the 57 and 60 freeways. Diamond Bar occupies the Pomona Valley corridor at the eastern edge of Los Angeles County near the border with San Bernardino County, and developed primarily in the 1960s and 1970s as suburban housing pushed into the foothill terrain east of Pomona. The golf course sits in the moderate-elevation terrain where the flat valley gives way to the gentle slopes of the Puente Hills along the county's eastern margin.
