Monarch Dunes Golf Course

Monarch Dunes Golf Course sits on the Nipomo Mesa in southern San Luis Obispo County, in the coastal dune terrain near the Nipomo community. The Nipomo Mesa is a broad coastal terrace above the Pacific between the Santa Maria Valley to the south and the Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande corridor to the north. The area is near the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes National Wildlife Refuge and the monarch butterfly overwintering habitat along the dune ecosystem near the county boundary with Santa Barbara.
