Thunderbird Country Club

Thunderbird Country Club is on Thunderbird Drive in central Rancho Mirage, one of the earliest clubs in the desert golf corridor. Frank Sinatra Drive runs along the northern edge of the Thunderbird neighborhood, and the Rancho Mirage city line with Cathedral City begins a short distance to the northwest. The club sits on the gentle alluvial grade above the flat Highway 111 valley floor, in a development that attracted a prominent celebrity clientele in the postwar decades.
