King and Prince Golf Course is in Darien, Glynn County, in southeast Georgia. Darien is a small city on the Altamaha River delta in McIntosh County (the OSM county assignment to Glynn County may reflect a misassignment near the county line). Darien has significant colonial and antebellum history as one of Georgia's older settlements, founded by Scottish Highlanders in 1736, and the nearby Fort King George is among the oldest British fortifications in North America. The Altamaha River delta near Darien is ecologically significant as one of the most diverse river mouth ecosystems on the East Coast.
