Kal'kaua Golf Course is a military golf facility at Schofield Barracks in central Oahu, the U.S. Army's largest installation in Hawaii and one of the largest military posts in the Pacific. The course serves the substantial Army population at an installation that has been central to American Pacific military strategy since its establishment in the early twentieth century, named for King David Kalākaua of Hawaii. Access is restricted to authorized military personnel and their guests, providing recreational infrastructure for the tens of thousands of soldiers and family members stationed at Schofield and the neighboring Wheeler Army Airfield.
