Dennis spans the full width of the mid-Cape from Cape Cod Bay to Nantucket Sound, giving it more geographic range than most Barnstable County towns. Dennis Highlands sits on the higher inland terrain here — sandy upland pitch pine and scrub oak between the two shorelines — with 18 holes through the characteristic Cape interior. The town's two full-size layouts make it among the better-supplied mid-Cape communities for regulation golf.
