Battleground Golf Course at Deer Park is in Deer Park, Harris County, in the southeast Houston area near the San Jacinto Battleground. Deer Park is a city in southeast Harris County on the Houston Ship Channel, adjacent to the San Jacinto Battleground State Site where Texas won independence from Mexico in 1836. The course occupies the flat coastal prairie terrain of the lower Houston Ship Channel area.
