Golf in Deer Park

Deer Park is a city in southeast Harris County on the Houston Ship Channel, a community adjacent to the major industrial and petrochemical corridor along the channel. The San Jacinto Battleground State Site, where Texas won independence from Mexico in 1836, is nearby on the banks of the San Jacinto River. The Houston Ship Channel area is one of the largest petrochemical and refining complexes in the world, and communities like Deer Park, La Porte, and Pasadena have developed alongside the industrial corridor. The flat coastal plain terrain of southeast Harris County and the industrial character of the Ship Channel define the setting.
