The Challenge at the Woods

The Challenge at the Woods is in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, in the Piney Woods of East Texas. Jacksonville is a city in Cherokee County, in the deep East Texas timber and agricultural country south of Tyler. Cherokee County is in the transition between the Pineywoods and the Post Oak Savanna, with tall pines and hardwoods on the uplands and creek-bottom forests in the drainage areas.
